50 Books for Problematic Times
In a similar vein to the Hottest 100 women project, RMJ has set up a project collecting reviews of ’50 books for problematic times’ in response t0 a Newsweek article on 50 books for modern times which included very few books by women, people of colour and LGBT people. She’s still accepting submissions for an alternative list which fills in those gaps. I really like the collaborative nature of this project – a good example of how feminist activism can seek out diversity.
(Also, I LOVE the design for her blog.)
